Brief description

Controlling the supply of nutrients in crop production requires comprehensive knowledge of how to determine fertilizer requirements. Efficient and environmentally friendly fertilization also requires detailed knowledge of the fertilizers available for selection, their properties and application. In soil-independent cultivation systems, but increasingly also in outdoor cultivation, water plays an important role as a means of production. These topics will be considered in the light of current scientific findings and legal framework conditions. Challenges in the implementation of professional fertilization measures in horticultural and agricultural practice will also be discussed.

Overall workload

The total workload for the module is 135 hours (see also "ECTS credit points and grading").
